During the 23 years I have lived in Dripping Springs, I have volunteered with many organizations, including:

- Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library
- Hays County Fire Department
- Dripping Springs Cook Off Club
- The Founders Day Commission
- As a Sunday School Teacher at Dripping Springs United Methodist Church.
My husband, Carey ("Kim"), and I have been married for 32 years and we have a son, Clint, who graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 2011 and had attended Dripping Springs ISD schools from kindergarten at Dripping Springs Primary School, to Dripping Springs Intermediate School, to Dripping Springs Middle School and on to graduation from Dripping Springs High School.
Why You Would Like to Serve on DSISD Board of Trustees:
To ensure that students and teachers have the resources needed to continue to provide excellent education.
To lessen the burden on the community members and taxpayers.
To create alternative programs for students other than a college bound path.
Ensure a safe environment for students and teachers.
Lessen the financial burden on property owners.
Ensure board decisions represent the values our community.
Is an obligation to report, explain and be answerable for financial decisions.
Is the development and maintenance of budgets and independent fiscal review.
Is ensuring funds allocated are disbursed for the sole purpose of advancing the best interests of the students.
Ensures effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of financial resources.
Prevents any unauthorized, irregular and wasteful spending.
Responsible for helping the district achieve their educational goals.
Responsible for setting the vision and goals for the school district.
Responsible for empowering teachers to promote student achievement.
Responsible for delivering effective and appropriate educational programs.
